The Brood captures the imagined remnants of a sacred arachnid lineage. At first glance, The Brood appears to be a taxonomic plate — a naturalist’s attempt to study a class of arachnid previously undocumented. Seven distinct forms are arranged around a central entity, which is far more than anatomical. Its hourglass figure and symmetrical posture suggest worship, not simply observation.  Cataloged, labeled, and preserved as though pulled from the dusty archives of a long-abandoned occult laboratory. This piece blurs the line between natural history exhibit and ritual artifact, giving the viewer a window into a world where creatures are catalogued not just for biology, but for belief.
